Company History

Started by Richard Smith and Derrick Carter, Stoney Creek Wine Press was launched in April 1995. Initially, the company focused on providing generic and custom wine labels to the rapidly growing Wine-On-Premise industry in British Columbia, Canada.

In 2000, the company launched its first E-commerce website and began offering custom wine labels to a global audience. Sales grew and it soon became apparent that the primary growth area for the business would be in custom labels.

In 2005, the company launched Custom Wine Source in partnership with a select group of US wineries. This website offers custom labeled wine in the US for everything from corporate gifts to weddings.

Over the years, the website has evolved significantly with major redesigns every few years to take advantage of improvements in browsers and other web technologies.
